Hi, I'm Slaton Spangler

I am an artist, computer scientist, and tinkerer. I've worked on tons of weird techy projects over the years and I don't plan to stop anytime soon.

I have experience with both hardware and software, which has allowed me to help pilot a data-driven theater project, create a motion controlled interactive sign, construct a 'thank you' button that wildly flashes a light miles away, and create puzzles and art for Meow Wolf.

You can explore the various projects I've worked on below. Feel free to get in touch with me via email at srs965[at]gmail.com

Web Apps

I've created a myriad of small web apps in my spare time, for fun!

Art

In addition to my software and hardware tinkering, I also make digital art, including a 40 page coloring book!

Meow Wolf

During my time with Meow Wolf, I got to create some fun games and puzzles.

The BTU Lab

The BTU Lab (or Blow Things Up Lab) is a Hackerspace on the CU Boulder campus. I worked as the lab assistant, helping out members with their projects and creating projects to bring attention to the lab.

BLDG 61 Interactive Sign

I collaborated with Teddy Lowe to make an interactive sign for the Boulder Public Library's maker space.

ATLAS Tower Light Controller

I designed an IoT light controller for the lights on top of CU Boulder's ATLAS Institute.

Miscellaneous

I do a lot of smaller projects that don't all need their own page. They go here!
